History

As we know that India has great history similarly our Nagoriyamath also has some ancient past which started around 500 years ago, by great saint Shree Payohariji who was connected to Ramanand Sampradaya (Galta Tirth) Jaipur, he visited Didwana for short period of time for people in that region when he was ready to leave, all devotees of Didwana requested him to send some aacharya to that place, so that they can learn meaning of life listening to request of people he ordered one of his disciple “Devnayakacharyaji” who was intelliegent, great singer with great knowledge of ayurveda in samavat 1565 to relocate from Bidsar to Didwana in “Nagoriya Nohare” to help people of didwana he also treated many people in region, where as he also constructed small thakurvadi for his almighty and lived his life in his worship and passed away in samvat 1670 at age of 135.

After his death “Shri Swami Damodaracharyaji” was next to overtake his place, on gaadi (follower) for very short span of 30 yrs where he enlighten devotees by providing knowledge of Moksha , Dharma, Vedas etc, he passed away in samavat 1700.

Similarly after many aacharya which are as follows “Shri Govindaacharyaji” (a silent person devoted complete time in worship of lord) , ”Swami Shri Raghavaacharyaji” (peace loving person completely devoted his life worship of almighty) looking to his devotion muslim king of that region praise him with 2 acres of land, 404 hector crop land, 500 kg salt and oil for temple, “Swami Shri Harikrishnacharyaji” (devoted his complete life in worship of lord), “Swami Shri Sitaramacharyaji” (intelligent person who taught people about moksha,dharma also helped economic center, whereas spend 14-15 hrs in mathemathic theory) by his kind nature he donated land given by badshah to Brahmins and needy people, when badshah came to know about donation he gave 345 acre land for temple construction, “Swami Shri Jankivalabhacharayji” (intelligent person with knowledge of shastra) by his knowledge and inspiring words king of Jodhpur Vijaysingh called him to his palace gifted him 400 acres of land and 1 rupee daily from his treasury so he can spread bhakti and religious awareness in people, he also travelled from place to place. Sona-naresh jagirdar of Gopalpuram and Sikar naresh became his follower gifted him 400 acre and 700 acre of land , 2 palace and 50 acre of land in ganedi respectively.

Next Succesor “Shri Swami Radhakrishnaacharayji” ( person with kind hearted renovated old temple and constructed balaji temple in didwana), “Shri Swami Ramaacharyaji” (person with pure and kind heart ad donated most of land and money to poor brahmins for their livelihood).

Next aacharya i.e. follower on gaadi was “ Shri Swami Chaturbhuja acharyaji”, founder of Lashkar (Gwalior) & Chanderi temple, by his blessing blind man got his sight, he travelled different places to make people aware of bhaki and dharma as was person with great knowledge of various literatures like Kathopanishad, Mundakopanishad, Gita, Shukla Yajurveda. Aacharyashri with some group of people reached Shri Totadri(Nanguneri) in south and decided to follow Ramanuj Sampradaye, it was time for change for Nagoriya Math.

After Chaturbhujacharyaji, “Shri Narsinghaacharyaji” took was next aacharya in Nagoriya Math, born in Tunwa (Sikar), at age of 10 yrs learned Shastra and Vedas observing his devotion Swami Shri Chaturbhujaacharyji decided to make him yuvraj (next Successor of Nagoriya Math), he travelled to different pilgrimage in India and reached Indore in Chaturmas by following his inspiring words, observing dedication toward lord, businessman of Indore gifted him land for temple construction in Chattribagh (middle of Indore), swamiji by his kind nature donated 200 acre of land to vaishnav sampraday near Salasar for pond construction, passed away in Samavat 1972.

After him next successor was “Shri Balmukundaacharya”, was bright kid learned all slokha at age of 7 observing his devotion toward lord his father took him to Didwana to learn under Guidance of Shri Narsingaacharyaji, Shri Balmukundaacharyaji by his nature to grasp more knowledge he did lot of research on literary justice, Vedas and Astrology, also travelled in different parts of India to spread knowledge, looking his devotion toward lord Janki-Vallabh his one of disciple donated him marble for renovation of temple, he also obeyed celibacy, hermit, and intuition, when he was very near to his last breaths he delivered last words to present people and passed away.

Next Succesor was “Shri Keshwaachryaji”, born in samavat 1966 in a village named “Ola Ki Dhani” near Sikar, childhood was spent in the village and after that he came to Kasumbi and Didwana, then he reached to Indore, where he studied under guidance of Govindacharayji, at age of 14 yrs he attend religious campaign with his guru Shri Balmukundacharyaji,whereas made yuvraj on Kartik Badi 7 samvad 2004 pushpa nakstra Thursday and was declared as aacharya on maghkrishna navmi Monday samvad 2015 i.e 2 February 1959 worked a lot for spreading religious, also constructed many institution like Venugopal sanskrit paathshala where student are taught sanskrit and also constructed goshala (place where cows are kept) in Pandharpur etc.

After him “Shri Shriniwasaacharyaji” was declared 15th preceptor of Nagoriya Math was born on 29 jan 1957, he did his primary education from “Tunwa” village near Sikar completed his secondary education & B.A. (first year) in “Didwana” and for further studies he came to Indore, then on 5th Feb 1975 declared as yuvraj of Nagoriya Math, in 1983 passed M.A. (Sanskrit) from Indore University secured first position and received gold medal, as well as passed “Kavyatirth” exam with distinction from Calcutta, in 1985 received degree of “Sahityacharya” with top position from “Sampurnanand Sanskrit College”, Varanasi, after getting academic knowledge he started preaching Valmiki Ramayan and Shrimad Bhagwat Gita, was great person with kind heart was with us for short span of time and passed away at age of 43 yrs on 8 Nov 2000.

Next successor and present Aacharya of Nagoriya Math is “Shri Vishnuprapannacharyaji” person with strong will power, patience, kind hearted and great memory, he was made aacharya at age of 16 with his duties of complete Nagoriya Math, he also completed his studies and presently holding position of Nagoriyapithdishwar, under his guidance many construction and renovation at variant places are carried like Shri Shri Niwas Aathi Gragh Indore, Didwana, Pandalpur Goshala, AnnashetraNemwar etc, where as with many festival celebration were started under his guidance like Ramanuj Jayanti, Kalyan Utsav, Vaikunt Ekadashi, Hanuman Jayanti etc.
