Chanderi

Jankinath Mandir Chandri was built around 160 years ago.

At the beginning when Maheshwari samaj came to placed idol of Panch Mukhi Hanumanji near pipal tree, than after some time near about 150 yrs ago group of Maheshwari samaj of Chanderi decided to build temple at same place and brought idol of Ram, Laxman and Janki named temple as Janki-nath temple.

In year 1972 sculpturer from Jaipur were called to renovate Jankinath temple , under guidance of Swami Shri Keshwaacharyaji "Pran-pratishtha" of idols was done. In this temple various festival like' Sawan ke Jhule' 'Sharad Purnima' 'Ram Navmi' etc is celebrated with great joy and excitement and today mandir is managed by Maheshwari samaj Panchayat of Chanderi .
